Play Dates

The girls had their friend Sammie over today for a play date. My job during a play date is to supervise, but not entertain. I love to listen to how the girls are with their friends...make sure they are being kind, etc. My favorite part, by far, is listening to their conversations. Today there was a gem.
Bella looking in our junk drawer for more markers, finds chopsticks. She says,"These are real chopsticks from China. Our Godmudder (that's what it sounds like) Julie gave them to us. She's a real live traveler."
