I had a few requests for my monkey munch recipe. I stole it right off the Chocolate Chex box. It has become a family favorite!
9 cups Chocolate Chex® cereal (or combination of Chex, but I say the more chocolate the better!)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1. Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
2. In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
3. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): No change.

Oh I love that stuff...but I've never heard it called Monkey Munch, though I like that name better than the others (Muddy Buddies and Dog Food).
Thanks!
Nom nom nom
I like it. Maybe you should bring some this weekend!
Monkey Munch? What does it have to do with monkeys?
Do they make banananana flavoured miniature marshmallows? That would definitely add validity to the name.
My niece makes this all the time, but her recipe called it Puppy Chow (?) Whatever you want to call it, it's still yummy!
Oh my gosh. Love this stuff so much. Too much.
