Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

Sweet, sweet Bella. This year she decided she wanted to make her own Valentine cards. (Every mother just rolled their eyes at the time and commitment this would take, right?)I took her to the party store to see the Wizards of Waverly Place valentines, the Princess Valentines, even the puppy valentines, but no! My girl wanted to make her own just like they do in the book Mouse's Valentine. So, off to Michael's we went. She found lace doilies and adhesive glitter paper. I helped her cut out the hearts. Then, she came up with a poem.
Roses are red, violets are blue.
You are a great friend.
It's fun to be in 2nd grade with you.
Is she a sweet kid, or what? She glued the poem on the front of the hearts. (Poem not on yet in the picture below.)

The valentine's were a big hit. Apparently, a kid names Jeffrey in her class liked the valentine so much "he started jumping up and down and clapping!"

The poem rocks!!

Jason, as himself said...

He started jumping up and down and clapping! Wow!

I like these way better than the premade ones. They mean so much more.
