Griffith Observatory

As a teacher, I love it when my kids get excited about what they are learning. Olivia has been learning about the Solar System in 3rd grade and tells us facts all the time about what she's learned. Did you know: the sun is a star there are inner planets and outer planets 1 million Earths can fit inside the sun the outer planets are after the asteroid belt So, to enrich her curiosity, Andy had the idea to take the girls to the Griffith Observatory.

Even though it wasn't a super clear day, the views were amazing!

There is lots to do at the Observatory...and most of it is free! We looked through telescopes, saw Venus, watched the phases of the moon, and got to see how much we would weigh if we lived on each planet! For the record, you want to live on Pluto (even though it is not a planet any more!)

Livvie's favorite planet is Neptune because it is interesting. Did you know it is blue and it has 13 moons?
